Is Your Plating Callout Quotable?

A defect guide used by working platers names the incomplete drawing as the single most common upstream cause of plating defects, because a drawing that says only “zinc plate” gives the plater almost no information. Mark what your drawing already states. The score counts documented fields — it does not rate the part, the design or the supplier.

Standard number and date of issueASTM B633-13, ASTM B841, ISO 2081 or ISO 4042:2022. Clause 5.1 of B633 puts stating it on the purchaser. Service condition classSC1 to SC4.
